PRE-TRAINING

Pre-season training will commence on Wednesday, 17th August at KP commencing at 7:30pm followed by supper.

An additional attachment to this season’s training will be a law’s session commencing at 7pm sharp, prior to the commencement of each training night.

REFEREE COURSE

The next iRB L1 referee’s course details follow:-

WHAT:          iRB L1 Match Official Course for participants wishing to become rugby referees of adult rugby, including U19 variations to the adult laws.

WHEN:         Saturday, 3rd September 2011 (8am to 6pm)

WHERE:       HKRFU Office, Olympic House, So Kon Po

COST:           No cost to members HKSRFUR  (HK$750 to non-members, includes lunch and all course materials)

DRESS:         Sports Casual + trainers + cap

GUEST SPEAKER and KEY NOTE ADDRESS: Former ARU referee panel member and senior Sport’s Psychologist at the Centre for Notational Analysis, University of Wales Institute at Cardiff, Dr Mikel Mellick

has been invited to attend our muster to conduct workshops throughout the day and also present the Keynote Address. He will also conduct programmes with different groups throughout the week, leading up to our Workshop.

Mikel is an excellent speaker and motivator and fellow referee. What he has to offer will inspire you to greater heights of achievement this coming season! Not to be missed!

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF OUR NEW WEB SITE: If you were at the AGM back in June, you would have gained an insight into our new website. The official launch will take place at the Workshop with a run-down of what it can do for you!

have forced him to cancel. 

 

iRB COACH of MATCH OFFICIALS (CMO) COURSE 

Interested in the world of referee coaching? Why not join the dedicated band of full and part time CMO’s assisting in the development of our society referees. The rewards are great and you don’t have to give up refereeing. Interest in the captioned course from the iRB, is sort from all members with at least 3 years’ experience of refereeing. When numbers have been finalized, location, dates and times will be forthcoming. This is a 5 hour course spread over 2 nights of training. We need your support as we grow! HKRFU ASSISTANT REFEREE’s (AR) COURSE

Wish you were on the touch line with a flag as an Assistant Referee or on the dead ball

with a flag as an In-Goal Judge at next year’s Hong Kong Sevens? Well, if you have that desire

you must want to attend our new HKSRFUR’s AR course to be held in October. The course is

conducted over 2 nights (6 hours) and participants gain a certificate. When numbers have been

finalized, location, dates and times will be forthcoming. Please fill in the attached nomination
