Six Nations 2008 Match Official Appointments

Referee Chris White is injured and has been replaced by Jonathan Kaplan for the opening match of the 2008 Six Nations. But White will still officiate that weekend, as the television match official in the place of Rob Debney when Scotland play France at Murrayfield. Kaplan will referee two matches in this season's Six Nations as he will later referee the Calcutta Cup match at Murrayfield.

Paul Honiss, appointed to referee the Six Nations match between Scotland and France at Murrayfield on Sunday, has had to withdraw because of a serious family illness. He has had to return to New Zealand. Alain Rolland of Ireland, the referee for the World Cup Final in 2007, will take Honiss's place.
