Harry Brickwood Trophy
The Harry Brickwood Trophy was presented to the referee who contributed most in the season to the spirit of the Society. The Trophy was presented to the HKSRFUR by Lieutenant Commander H.J. Brickwood RN in April 1976. Harry retired and left Hong Kong at the end of the 1986-87 season. The Trophy is inscribed: -
"The Referee is always right.................... stubborn perhaps, misinformed maybe, incorrect possibly, blind to innovation probably, uncompromising sometimes, and occasionally............... though very infrequently...........downright stupid, but NEVER WRONG."
